Retaining walls, wherever they may be are usually a main feature or are critical to a project. In all works done by Civil Underground Limited, depending on the design, engineering and other requirements we will comply with the Auckland Council document AC 2231.
Many of our retaining wall projects can be diverse and designed to recover, protect, anchor, integrate and enhance the build environments and in many cases natural habitat. With all this it may appear the task or project may be daunting.
Before Civil Underground will even consider a retaining wall project we engage in comprehensive conversations with the client to clearly understand client expectations and then we mould those expectations into engineering the structural, geotechnical and hydraulic factors.
But the first action must be to determine if an Auckland Council consent is required for the build. If so, then we will prepare a consent application and then apply for a consent. Within that process we may have to negotiate with Council staff.
Such builds may have to pay special attention to environmental factors. Because of the complex law and their associated penalties relating to the environment we take care to include exceptional environmental management and practices into the project.
Like always, we engage in our projects with competent staff supported by vehicles, machinery and equipment that are industry leaders.
Overarching all this we insist on best standards in health and safety that is not only applicable to the wellbeing of our staff but to all those associated with our business.
Our pricing is sensible and competitive and it will be established to ensure the delivery of the best standards of project delivery without disruption or interference.
