Firstly let us explain what Directional Drilling also known as horizontal directional drilling (HDD) is. It is a minimal impact trenchless method of installing underground utilities such as pipe, conduit or cables in a relatively shallow arc or radius along a prescribed underground path using a surface-launched drilling rig.

On many occasions directional drilling is more cost effective than trenching and we have an obligation to our clients to give competent professional advice as to what is best in the circumstances.

Directional drilling complements drainage and civil works and it can provide accurate installation of sewer and water drains.

Within the directional drilling industry there are a broad assortment of operators and equipment, some are most acceptable, some are acceptable and some are not acceptable. It is our job to identify those factors for you.

As we have stated before, we engage in operational partnerships with like-minded organisations. In negotiating a suitable partner we take into account the history, experience and success of the company, the quality, range and age of their equipment, their fluid management systems, pre-planning work and service location abilities.

Because of these effective operational partnerships there can be a supply of a wide range of resources that result in cost effective pricing because there is no oversupply of resources that sits idle in company yards.

Also by also working with operational partnerships there is an ability to accept the entire project under a single management structure. In our case, our operational partners operate under Civil Underground management, comply with our methodologies, health and safety and use some of our site forms.

We will insist at all times that neither ourselves nor our operational partners will not walk away from a project until it is completed to your and our satisfaction.
